Creative
Talking Therapy
I offer creative psychodynamic talking therapy for individuals and groups. I use creative practices - art making, story, movement - when it’s right for the client, or when words are hard to find. You don’t need to have any prior experience or '“be good” at creative practices for these to be incorporated into therapy sessions, and you can stick to talking if that suits you better (if fact, I work with many clients this way).
Sessions with me are client led, meaning we work together, at your pace, to explore the concerns you are bringing to therapy.
Individual Therapy
Individual, open-ended therapy gives you the opportunity to work at great depth and to cultivate your unique creative reflective practice. We will work together to better understand you and the issues that you are bringing to therapy. You are invited to be curious about yourself - about how you work- and to use the therapy space as you need. This might mean that, for some sessions, we just talk. While other times you may reach for art materials to find another way to express yourself. Creative work can offer an opportunity to surprise yourself, to see yourself reflected back.
We will meet weekly or fortnightly on an ongoing basis. Each session will be 50mins.
£80/session
Single Session Therapy
We will meet once for a 90min session. You will have the opportunity to bring a specific issue or question and to unpack it together. Our aim will be to better understand the problem you are bringing and to consider what helpful and supportive steps can be taken next. The session will be part reflective, part pragmatic, with the aim that you leave with a plan for going forward.
This session type can be used by returning clients who wish to ‘check-in’ but not restart regular sessions.
Single session therapy is not a crisis intervention. If you are in crisis contact The Samaritans or your local NHS crisis support line.
£100/session

Therapy can support you to grow greater self-awareness and a deep understanding of yourself, your patterns, and your behaviours. It can lead to improvements in your relationships, in your ability to cope with stress and difficulty. It can help you to notice and change patterns in your life.
I can support clients with the following issues:
Depression, low mood, feeling stuck or lost
Anxiety (GAD, social, OCD)
Relationship difficulties
Historical trauma
Grief and loss
Identity and self-esteem issues particularly following big life changes (eg becoming a parent)
Body image issues and disordered eating.
I also work with performers, artists, creatives and makers who might be struggling with issues particular to working in the arts.
But, while therapy is often a space to bring our struggles, it can also be a space of curiosity, of creative exploration, of self discovery. It can offer you a space to listen to yourself - to become more you.
Many of my clients grow to use the therapy space as an ongoing tool for processing and self-reflection. It becomes a practice for them - like meditation or yoga - where they take time out to come back to themselves: to pause and reflect.

Start by booking a free consultation. This will take place via video call. It will give you the opportunity to meet me and hear options for how and when we can get started. If you want to continue we will book a first appointment. During this appointment we we will talk about how you want to use the therapy space, I’ll ask questions to hear more about what’s bringing you to therapy, and we will make a plan for how we will continue.
-
Not necessarily. Life is busy, the weeks go fast, and therapy is a financial investment. Therefore I can be flexible when it comes to scheduling. This is something to be discussed in early appointments.
-
I offer open ended and fixed term therapy. We can discuss this in the first appointment. The number of sessions we plan for will depend on your needs and our plan. Usually, after the first appointment I will suggest a number of sessions that we should have before reviewing.

Much like life we click more easily with some people than others. This is why I offer a free consultation - to see how we connect; how it feels for you to be in conversation with me. For a therapist to be a good fit it doesn’t mean they have to feel like a friend. Therapist/client relationship is its own unique connection. Think: do I feel safe, do I feel like I can begin to be myself, do I feel like I will be understood enough?

You pay for your first session up front and then we make an ongoing contract from there.
I have a 48hr cancellation policy, and holidays are arranged in advance. You don’t have to pay to ‘hold your space’ while I am on holiday.
I can sometimes offer a concessionary rate (depending on availability). Please ask if this is something that would be of benefit to you.
